An Upstate man has been sentenced to a quarter century behind bars for drug trafficking. Officials say, 32 year old Tavarus Demonta Durham has been convicted of trafficking meth and illegally possessing prescription pills.
The charges came after an investigation that was led by the Mauldin Police Department. Court records say Durham had fallen asleep while driving and was at a redlight when police arrived.
A search of the vehicle uncovered over an ounce and half of meth and a number of two different prescription pills. Durham has been sentenced to 25 years in the state prison system.
