A Greenville County man will spend more than a decade in prison after pleading guilty for child sex crime charges in Polk County, North Carolina.
The District Attorney's Office there says 24 year old, Jesse Bernard Floyd of Greer entered guilty pleas to attempted statutory rape of a child under 15 years old or younger, indecent acts with a child, soliciting a child by computer, and disseminating obscene material to a minor.
Court records showed that Floyd befriended the victim on social media and began asking for inappropriate photos. Floyd also convinced the victim to let him come to their home in Polk County.
The minor then became nervous and alerted a family member. The DA's Office says Floyd was found naked in the victim's home while trying to carry out sex acts.
Floyd will serve a minimum sentence of 10 years and 5 months and faces a possible maximum of 17 and a half years.
