An Upstate man has been sentenced to over a decade in prison in child sex crime case.
The 13th Circuit Solicitors Office says 41 year old, Jody Scott Childers of Greenville entered a guilty plea last week on a charge of 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Court records state that Childers sexually assaulted the underaged victim in 2023. Childers has been sentenced to 12 years in the South Carolina State Prison System.
