An Upstate man is set to spend the next two decades behind bars for a home invasion and sexual assault. 59 year old, Andre Bridges of Abbeville entered guilty pleas in court Tuesday to charges of 1st degree burglary and 1st degree criminal sexual conduct.
The charges stem from an incident in March of last year in which court records say, Bridges broke into a woman's home armed with a knife and then sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to fight Bridges off and called 9-1-1 before she fled the home.
Bridges has been sentenced to 20 years and he'll have to serve 85% of his time before being eligible for early release.
