An Upstate native found himself in victory lane at a legendary raceway over the weekend. Spartanburg's own Jeremy Clements took the checkered flag in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Race at Daytona Motor Speedway.

The start of the race was delayed several hours Friday night and did not finish until around 1:30 AM Saturday morning. Clements was able to avoid trouble late in the race and several multi-car crashes happened in the closing laps. On Monday morning, Clements joined "The Rise Guys" on 93.3 The Planet. The video of that interview is below.
It's the 2nd win on the circuit all-time for Clements and puts him in this year's Xfinity Series Playoffs. He'll look for another strong finish this weekend , as the Xfinity Series rolls in to the Palmetto State to run Darlington Motor Speedway this Saturday.
