Upstate Pastor serves as Guest Chaplain at U.S. House

An Upstate pastor delivered the opening prayer Friday morning as the guest chaplain of the U.S. House of Representatives. Tony Foster, pastor at Restoration Worship Center in Greenwood was invited to be the guest chaplain by 3rd District Congressman Jeff Duncan.

Duncan said following the congressional session " Now, more than ever, our nation needs prayer. That’s why I was honored to invite my longtime friend, Pastor Tony Foster, to serve as Guest Chaplain for the House of Representatives. I admire Tony as a man of God, and it was an honor to welcome him and his wife to Washington this week for this rare opportunity".

Foster becomes just the 2nd pastor that Congressman Duncan has been able to officially invite to be guest chaplain.
