An Upstate Sheriff's Office is mourning the loss of one of their own. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says, former Deputy Kevin Evatt suddenly passed away, recently.
Evatt climbed the ranks with the Sheriff's Office as a K-9 handler. He also served in the Army National Guard for 12 years, which included a tour of Afghanistan.
The Sheriff's Office said in a social media post " Our deputies knew Evatt beyond the uniform as a loyal friend, a jokester, and fierce defender with a selfless personality. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Lisa, his three daughters, family and friends including the ones who will continue to honor his memory throughout the halls of the Sheriff’s Office.”
