An upstate convenience store recently dished a 6 figure winner in the Powerball lottery. The Kangaroo Express on Woodruff Road in Simpsonville sold a ticket that was a $150,OOO winner.
The ticket was one number away from the jackpot. Another South Carolina store sold a ticket that was also one number off. That ticket was worth $50,000 and was sold in Gresham. The ticket out of Simpsonville was worth more because the winner spent the extra dollar for the PowerPlay option.
With no winner on Wednesday night, Saturday's jackpot now grows to $523 million.
