An Upstate student is in custody after bringing a gun on campus. Officials in Spartanburg County say, a female student arrived at the Morgan Technology Center Monday morning smelling of marijuana.

The Director and Assistant Director of the Morgan Center searched the student's car and found a gun in it. The student has not been identified, due to being a minor.
She was detained and taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice facility in Columbia. District officials say, they have recommended the student be expelled.
