Bond has been denied for an teenage murder suspect from the Upstate. As we previously reported, 17 year old Deondre Smith-Jefferson was arrested after a deadly shooting in the Moore Community, Monday morning.
Spartanburg County deputies responded and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as 32 year old, Lidarrell Cheeks.
Investigators say that Cheeks was the suspect's stepfather. Smith-Jefferson is being held without bond in Spartanburg County and is expected back in court in late May.
