A suspect is facing drug trafficking charges after a recent traffic stop. The Greer Police Department made a traffic stop on a vehicle and reuested a K-9 unit be brought in by the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office.
The K-9 alerted on the vehicle and a search of the vehicle uncovered 5 grams of fentanyl and 15 grams of meth were found. A search warrant was executed on a hotel room that the driver Richard Scruggs had been staying in. Additional drugs were reportedly found in the hotel room.
Scruggs is charged with trafficking meth and fentanyl.
