An Upstate drowning victim has been identified. As we previously reported, authorities responded to Pitts Park in Ware Shoals Sunday afternoon, where a reported drowning occurred.
After an autopsy Monday, the coroner’s office identified the drowned man as 38-year-old Diego Armada Alvarez-Mune of Columbia. Authorities are reminding the public to always be vigilant and follow water safety advice, including making use of life jackets made available to park visitors.
This comes shortly after another man, 23-year-old Juan Otoniel Antonio Simon, drowned in the same park back on June 23rd.
