The good news keeps rolling for the Greenville County School District. On the heels of history-making report cards and Tigerville Elementary being named a South Carolina Blue Ribbon School, Superintendent Dr. Burke Royster's contract has been extended.

Dr. Royster earned an exemplary evaluation in his annual performance review by the Board of Trustees according to a district press release.

Greenville County Schools Board Chair Dr. Carolyn Styles says it reflects the tremendous growth and success under Royster’s leadership including, for the first time in district history, a graduation rate above ninety percent.

As a result, the Board unanimously approved a motion to extend Dr. Royster's contract through June 30, 2029.
