The United States will require new immigrants to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as part of its routine medical exam, U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services announced on Tuesday. The measure goes into effect on October 1. The U.S. already requires a slew of other vaccinations for permanent resident applicants, including measles, polio, influenza, and tetanus. According to The Washington Post, religious exemptions may be requested on a case-by-case basis. The announcement comes after the Biden administration last week unveiled a sweeping set of vaccination mandates for businesses.
So we want to hear from you: Do you agree that all immigrants to the U.S. be vaccinated against COVID-19?
