Two workers from Blue Ridge Electric Co-Op narrowly escaped injury when a tree fell onto their utility truck. The incident happened Sunday while they were enroute to make repairs on Highway 8 in Pickens County.

In a Facebook post, a Blue Ridge official said the falling timber crushed the cab, but neither of the men were injured.

Blue Ridge officials in the post also thanked crews from Georgia and sister co-ops in Berkley and Horry counties for sending crews to help restore power in their coverage area.
