An arrest has been made following an armed robbery in Western North Carolina, Monday night. The Asheville Police Department responded to a reported armed robbery on the 100 block on Tunnel Road, just before 10PM.
Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who told them he handed over a $160 dollars after the suspect held him at gunpoint. The suspect identified as 29 year old, Christopher Calvin Robinson was located in a wooded area and was taken into custody, after initially fleeing the scene.
Police say Robinson was found with a gun, 160 dollars and drugs on him during his arrest. He's charged with armed robbery, drug possession, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
