The victim in a fatal shooting at an Upstate apartment complex Monday morning, has now been identified. As we previously reported, the Greenville County Coroner's Office and Greenville Police Department responded to a reported shooting, around 7:40 AM Monday at the Parkins Ridge Apartments in Greenville.
Upon arrival, a man was found dead from a gunshot wound. The Coroner's Office has now identified the victim as 29 year old, Ja'Twasean Avreil Pierce. The coroner's report says Pierce lived in the apartment where he was shot to death.
The Greenville Police Department reportedly has a suspect in custody, however they have not released the suspect's identity. An autopsy is set to be performed on the victim Tuesday.
