Weekend drive-by shooting leaves one dead and another hospitalized

An investigation is ongoing after a weekend drive-by shooting in the Upstate, left one person dead and another hospitalized. The Spartanburg Police Dept. responded to a reported shooting at the Local FIG restaurant on Magnolia Street around 2:20 Saturday morning.

Upon arrival, officers found a man that had been shot lying on the sidewalk. The victim later identified as 31 year old, Dearrius Lynell Bobo died on the scene. While on scene police learned a 2nd victim had arrived at the hospital after being taken there in a private vehicle. There's been no word on the condition of the 2nd victim.

Police say that an argument happened prior to the shooting and the group involved was asked to leave by restaurant security. Both men were said to be on the sidewalk outside when a vehicle drove by and opened fire. Anyone with info on the incident is asked to contact the Spartanburg PD or Crime Stoppers.
