Just two years after the destruction of Hurricane Helene, Western North Carolina saw multiple landslides over the weekend, due to effects from another Hurricane.
McDowell County Emergency Officials say that rainfall from Hurricane Isaias caused five landslides in the Woodlawn Community. Emergency Management also reported that some roads were flooded, as rising water overwhelmed culverts and river banks.
