Welfare Check Becomes Homicide Investigation

A Spartanburg welfare check turned into a homicide investigation over the weekend.

Deputies arrived at Triple Crown Way around 6:50pm Saturday evening. Once on scene, they found 30 year old Caroline Marie Hall, identified by the Coroner, deceased.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office is searching for a person of interest, who they have identified as 37-year-old Juan Canino Tobon.  He's described as a white male, 5'8, weighing around 160 pounds, brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts, is asked to call the Sheriff's Office.  According to Officials, Tobon has two active warrants for incidents not related to this current investigation.

An autopsy on Carolina Hall is scheduled for Monday.
