One of the most scenic landmarks and wedding venues in the Upstate is set to close for renovations later this month. The Pretty Place Chapel located in the Cleveland Community of Northern Greenville County will close January 23rd and is expected to reopen about 2 weeks later.
Several upgrades are set to be part of the project, including adding 40 new parking spots, new bathrooms, new benches in the chapel and a handicap accessible wheelchair ramp to the front of the building. The Greenville YMCA Camp built the chapel at Pretty Place over 80 years ago. This year's renovation project is the 3rd round of major upgrades to the venue in the last decade.
