A wildfire continues to burn in Western North Carolina. Officials in McDowell County say the Bee Rock Creek Fire has spread over a 1,000 acres.
Firefighters reported over the weekend that the fire was about 30% contained.
Fire crews are focusing on keeping the fire from advancing towards the Blue Ridge Parkway. An evacuation order is in effect for that area.
