Jacori Lemaine Brown turned himself in to Authorities Wednesday night following an investigation launched on July 23rd after reports of the sexual assault of a child.
An employee at Oconee Memorial Hospital contacted law enforcement after receiving word of the alleged assault. Investigators spoke with a family member of the victim and then contacted the Department of Social Services. The child was placed in a safe environment.
According to the Sheriff's Office, evidence gathered determined that Brown sexually assaulted the victim by digital penetration.
He was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center. Bond will be determined at a later date.
