The Mooresville Police Department has announced the arrest of one of its officers. The Department has reported on its Facebook page that following an audit of its license plate reader system, they discovered an officer accessed the system for personal reasons.
A criminal investigation was initiated and revealed the officer had accessed the Flock Camera system 31 times to reportedly track someone she knew and then lied about the reasons for looking up the LPR data.
On Wednesday, Officer Elizabeth Snowman was charged with Illegally Accessing Computers and was taken to Iredell County Jail.
There have been multiple officers fired and/or arrested for the misuse of Flock Cameras across the Carolinas, in recent months.
