Where's the beef? That's the question an Upstate grocery store was asking during a shoplifting incident last week. The Pickens Police Department says a man and woman stole over 50 pounds of steak and shrimp from the Ingles Market on Ann Street.
When officers arrived they caught the couple with two dozen packages of steak, 60 bags of shrimp and 10 bags of beef jerky, worth a total of $2,000. A gun was also seized in the incident.
The woman 40 year old, Stefanie Kay Brown of Greenville is charged with shoplifting enhancement. The man was not arrested at the time, but police say charges against him may be coming.
