Greenville Mayor Knox White will face a Democrat in the general election. He deflected the long-shot challenge from businessman Joe Farmer 65 to 34 percent in yesterday's GOP primary.
White will run against Democrat Michelle Shain in November seeking his eighth term since he was first elected mayor in 1995.
