In late 2021 prior to winter weather in most of the country, grocery stores nationwide were reportedly 15% below normal supply levels. One of the main themes of the pandemic have been shortages in food supply and issues with the supply chain. As winter weather has hit here in the Upstate and other places, the problems continue to intensify. Prior to Winter Storm Izzy last weekend, grocers around the Upstate were reporting they were either completely depleted or at very low supply levels. It begs the question, will we ever see the food supply back to normal, pre-pandemic levels? Let us know below.
