Electric vehicles have been a major point of discussion and have captured headlines nationwide. The Biden Administration have pushed an initiative to make electric vehicles much more prominent in the near future. Here in South Carolina, the subject has been equally as prominent. Gov. McMaster hosted an electric vehicle summit last week in Greenville that featured executives from various automakers. Then today (Wednesday), BMW announced it will invest 1.7 billion dollars in its Upstate operations. That investment is centered around enhanced electric vehicle production at their Spartanburg plant and the construction of a new battery plant in Woodruff. With all that said, it seems the electric vehicle trend is gaining momentum. There are still several factors that will need to be bolstered before a mainstream movement to EV's. So today's question- Will you buy an electric vehicle in the next 5 years?
