The North Carolina State Department Of Insurance says, McDowell County man is facing charges after making threats to insurance agents.
48 year old Brody Hankinson of Marion, is charged with three counts of extortion after he made threats when he was not paid for a claim he filed. The NCDOI says the incidents happened July 5th and July 11th.
Hankinson was arrested on unrelated charges in Florida and is currently being held there. He's expected to be extradited back to North Carolina to face charges there.
