A Madison County, North Carolina, man is being held on a hundred thousand dollar bond, after being accused of starting the weekend housefire that killed a couple of dogs.
Sheriff's deputies say the owner of the house on Ivy Hill Road managed to escape the flames Sunday, but the dogs couldn't get out.
The suspect, identified as Jesse Ray Marler, faces trial for arson and two counts of felony cruelty to animals.
