WNC man dies from hypothermia after being found in camper

Officials say a Western North Carolina man who was found inside a camper there died from hypothermia. The man had been transported from Forest City to Spartanburg Regional Hospital after a friend found him inside the camper.

The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office has identified the man as 58 year old, Scott Wesley Mack of Forest City. Mack had been staying in a camper that did not have power.


The Coroner's report says Mack's body temperature was lower than normal and an autopsy showed that he died from cardiovascular issues brought on by hypothermia.
