One person is in custody and another is injured after a weekend shooting in Western North Carolina. The Asheville Police Dept. says, 29 year old Jason Edward Taylor rammed his car into another vehicle and then fired shots into the other vehicle, striking the passenger. The incident happened around 4:15 Sunday afternoon.
Police say, a woman was driving with a man in the passenger seat when Taylor began chasing them in his vehicle. The passenger in the vehicle was then shot, he was taken to Asheville's Mission Hospital for treatment. Police did not release any info on Taylor's motive or what led to the incident.
Taylor was taken into custody and is charged with Assault With A Deadly Weapons, Discharging A Gun Into An Occupied Vehicle and other charges. He's currently being held at the Buncombe County Jail
