A Western North Carolina man is set to spend over a decade behind bars on child sex crime charges. 48 year old, Jake Ben Paul Lohr of Candler was convicted Thursday on federal charges for distributing child sexual abuse material.
Investigators say, Lohr possessed files that showed children as young as infant being sexually abused. Lohr was arrested in 2024 after a search warrant was executed at his home. Lohr will be transferred to a federal facility to serve his time.
There's no parole or early release in the federal system.
