A suspect will spend most of the next 15 years in federal prison after two armed robberies at Western North Carolina businesses.
The U.S. Department Of Justice says 32 year old, Raymond Tracy Mintz III robbed a vape shop in 2022 and a convenience store about a year later.
Court documents say Mintz made off with over 1,600 in cash from each robbery. He has entered a guilty plea to federal robbery and a weapons violation. Mintz has been sentenced to 14 years and 8 months.
