A suspect is in custody after the murder of an elderly Western North Carolina. The Henderson County Sheriff's Office responded to a home in the Clear Creek Community, Thursday morning.
Upon arrival, deputies found a woman dead and determined her death was suspicious. The victim was identified as, 82 year old Patricia Moniz.
35 year old, Amber Renee Nelson of Hendersonville was later arrested in connection to the death. She's charged with murder and larceny of a vehicle. Nelson is being held without bond in Henderson County.
