A pair of suspects are in custody after a deadly weekend shooting in the Upstate. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Blue Gill Way in Woodruff just after 11:45PM, Friday.
Upon arrival, deputies found a woman who had been shot in the chest. She died at the scene and has been identified as 21 year old, Aaliyah Simmons.
Two suspects, 19 year old, Angel Marie Willis and 24 year old, Jorge Armando Cano Jr. have been arrested in connection to the shooting. Willis is charged with murder and Cano is charged with accessory after the fact.
Investigators say Willis and Cano went to the home in Woodruff intending to start a fight with one of the victim's friends and Simmons was shot during the fight.
