An arrest has been made after a shooting in Western North Carolina shooting.
It came after the Asheville Police Department reached out to the public via social media for help locating a man involved in an early morning shooting. He was found and arrested, shortly after Asheville Police took to social media
The shooting happened just before 8AM, Monday on Fairview Road in Asheville. Officers located a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder. She was taken to the hospital. Police say she is currently in serious condition.
Detectives arrested the shooting suspect, 45 year old Kevin Hyatt, 3 hours later, around 11am. Hyatt is charged with Attempted First Degree Murder and Stalking. Police say Additional charges may be forthcoming.
