
Spartanburg Police responded to a domestic-related shooting at the Dorman Center Drive Walmart around 7:30, Tuesday night.
An officer working a security detail inside the store heard multiple gunshots coming from the parking lot and immediately ran outside where a woman with a gunshot wound was found.
The victim said the shooter was her ex-boyfriend. Investigators say the suspect began firing at the victim from his vehicle as she drove through the parking lot.
The victim attempted to drive toward the front entrance of Walmart where the officer’s patrol car was parked. When she got our of the vehicle in an attempt to reach the officer, she was shot again.
The suspect 41 year old, Brandon Dewayne Parker fled the scene in a gray, newer-model sedan. He was pulled over in Lexington, Kentucky and was taken into custody. Parker is charged with attempted murder.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
