A combat veteran from the Upstate received recognition this week, that was a long time coming. A group of military veterans gathered Monday for an event to honor Corporal Ralph Conte.
The Corporal who is still living at 102 years old, served in Germany during World War II. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his service, at the ceremonial event.
