The U.S. House has introduced and passed a bill that would up the age to purchase semi-automatic rifles from 18 to 21. The bill is called the Protecting Our Kids Act and is part of a gun reform package. The bill has passed the House but is expected to stall in the U.S. Senate. The move comes after mass shootings were committed in Buffalo and Uvalde, TX by gunmen who were both under 21. Political experts say the bill is expected to stall in the U.S. Senate though. They don't believe the Democrat sponsored bill will get the needed votes from Senate Republicans, as the house measure passed largely on a party-line vote.
