On February 6, 2026, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott requested assistance from the FBI in the search for 49-year-old Sabrina Heinz according to news outlets in Columbia. According to the sheriff’s department, Heinz was last seen January 28, 2026 in Winnsboro, South Carolina. She was reported missing two days later.
Her vehicle was later found abandoned on the shoulder of I-77 in Blythewood. Investigators believe she may have been picked up along the interstate and could possibly be outside the area.
Sheriff Leon Lott says he hopes that with the FBI’s assistance and additional technology, Heinz will be found and brought home safely.
