Have the salad, hold the dressing.... a recall affecting 27 states, including South Carolina....
The initial recall from Ventura Foods based out of California went out November 11, 2025 due to the presence of "foreign objects" in thousands of cases of salad dressing, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
On December 4, 2025, the recall was identified as a "Class II" meaning exposure could cause adverse reactions.
The Caesar dressings were distributed to retailers across the country, including Costco. In total, 8 dressings have been recalled.
A statement from Hidden Valley Ranch states: “No Hidden Valley Ranch products sold in stores to consumers are included in the voluntary recall. A professional Hidden Valley® Original Buttermilk Ranch Dressing & Dip (one-gallon size), intended solely for food service and that was never distributed, was listed in a voluntary recall initiated by Ventura Foods, a third-party partner that manufactures this product."
