Better hold the eggs at breakfast, for now.

A Minnesota company is recalling approximately 4,620 pounds of liquid egg products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens.

32-oz paperboard cartons of “FAIR MEADOW Foundations WHOLE EGGS with CITRIC ACID” was shipped to South Carolina restaurant consignees for institutional use, as well as 8 other states.

In a June 30, 2024 press release, the Food Safety Inspection Service said there was a mix up during the production run of the Michael Foods Inc. Whole Eggs product and a Breakfast Blend Scrambled Eggs product, which contains dairy, a known allergen not declared on the Whole Egg with Citric Acid label.

As of right now, there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

Restaurants and institutions are urged to not serve these products. Further information can be found on the FSIS website by clicking HERE.
