A man out on bond in the Low Country has been arrested in connection to a murder in Southern California. Shawn Laval Smith had been released after posting bail, when he was charged for shooting a flare gun at a car in Mount Pleasant and injuring a child in the incident.
On Wednesday, Smith was arrested for the murder of a woman at a Los Angeles area furniture store. Police in Pasadena, say Smith stabbed Brianna Kupfer to death in the incident. Police say they couldn't find any apparent connection between the two and they believe the killing was at random."
