An out of state murder suspect has been apprehended in South Carolina's Pee Dee region. 22 year old Tarik Shiggs was apprehended this past Friday in Sumter County. Shiggs was wanted in connection to a President's Day murder in Stafford County Virginia, which is about 40 miles south of Washington, D.C.
Police there say he shot a man named Christopher Mcduffie multiple times, resulting in his death. The SLED Fugitive Team and Sumter County Sheriff's Office located Shiggs and took him into custody after being contacted by authorities in Virginia. He's currently being held in Sumter awaiting extradition to Virginia.
