
A Marine recruit died earlier this week while training on South Carolina's coast. A Spokesman for the Marine Corps says, 21 year old Private 1st Class Noah Evans died at during a physical fitness test at Parris Island on Tuesday.
Evans, a native of Decatur, Georgia was assigned to the 3rd Recruit Training Battalion. Evans died on the 55th day of the training cycle while taking his unit's final physical fitness test.
The incident marks the 4th Marine death at Parris Island since 2021. The cause of death for Private Evans is still under investigation.
