A massive alligator has been caught in the Pee Dee area down state. The gator measuring 13 feet and weighing over 600 pounds was hauled in Saturday on Lake Marion. Low Country based processing company Cordray's posted a photo of the crew and their monster gator on social media over the weekend.
Alligator season in South Carolina opened on Saturday and runs until October 8th. Nick Gibert and his crew that hauled in the 600 plus pound gator, started the season on a major high note.
