One of Alex Murdaugh's lawyers says, the disgraced and now disbarred attorney will apparently face charges for the murders of his wife and son. A statement last night from lawyer Jim Griffin confirms the report first aired by a Savannah TV station, that SLED will seek indictments from a state grand jury, before the end of this week.

The indictments are being sought to connect Murdaugh to the killings of his wife Maggie and son Paul, at the family's Colleton County hunting estate on June 7th of last year. Until now SLED had only described Murdaugh as a "person of interest" because he reported finding their bodies,
In the 9-1-1 call Murdaugh told the operator, one of the victims had been shot with a rifle, the other a shotgun, neither weapon was ever found. Murdaugh has been in jail with his bond now set a more than seven million dollars charged with more than 80 cases of financial fraud . The State Supreme Court revoked his law license Tuesday for what the justices called "admitted reprehensible conduct."
