New Covid-19 cases in SC remain over 2,000 per day

Greenville County still leads the state in new confirmed cases

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) today announced the following COVID-19 updates.

New confirmed/probable total cases: 2,413/25

New confirmed/probable total deaths: 12/1

Confirmed and probable cases: 218,820/15,832

Confirmed and probable deaths: 4,249/330

Tests performed for South Carolinians: 2,899,181

12,452 new individual test results reported statewide (not including antibody tests)

19.4% percent positive

Greenville County led the state with 367 new cases, followed by Spartanburg County with 224, Horry County with 181, York County 161 and Richland County with 135 new confirmed cases.
