New spike in Covid-19 cases in South Carolina

Greenville County continues to lead the state in new cases

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control Saturday announced the following COVID-19 updates.

There were 1,797 new confirmed cases of coronavirus and no new deaths reported.

This brings confirmed cases of coronavirus to 201,354 and 13,557 probable cases reported.

Confirmed deaths remain at 4,043 and 303 probable deaths.

Greenville County led the state with 373 new confirmed cases.  Spartanburg County was second with 150 new cases, followed by Pickens County with 144, Horry County with 111 and Anderson County with 108 new cases of coronavirus.
